Spain selects Miki for Eurovision 2019!

Moments ago the Spanish Eurovision Gala took place where ten entries were performed by a range of the Operación Triunfo cast of 2018.

The entries included:

  • Marilia – “Todo bien”
  • Sabela – “Hoy soñaré”
  • Famous – “No puedo más”
  • Natalia – “La clave”
  • Julia – “Qué quieres que haga”
  • Miki – “La venda”
  • Noelia – “Hoy vuelvo a reír otra vez”
  • Carlos Right – “Se te nota”
  • Natalia y Miki – “Nadie se salva”
  • María – “Muérdeme”

During the show we also saw a performance from Eleni Foureira who performed part of her Eurovision song Fuego, as well as her new single Tómame.

There was a panel in the studio to weigh in on the performances, however they had no say in the result of the show. The panel featured Manuel Martos, Pastora Soler, Tony Aguilar and Doron Medalie.

The voting this year consisted only of televote, with just one round of voting and the Spanish public decided that it would be Miki to represent Spain with the song La Venda. Miki won the televote with 34% of the vote, with Maria placing second with 22% and the duet between Miki and Natalia finishing in third place with 14% of the vote.
